Located in Historic Downtown Melbourne at 1002 E New Haven Avenue, Hell 'n Blazes Brewing Company operates out of fully renovated 120 year-old former mortuary and hardware and farm supply store.
The taping will begin at 9 PM on Monday, January 13, 2020 with an informal roundtable discussion introducing the members of the team (on camera). Steve can show how some of his new devices work so the team knows what to look for. The official investigation begins at around 11 PM, when the restaurant officially closes. We estimate spending about two hours or so attempting to capture video, sounds, or communication from paranormal energies, so plan to be there until at least 1 AM.
A few members of the team will meet a few days in advance to record the history of the building on location with the current owner, and discuss which rooms we should focus upon.
The owner Don tells us some of his employees have reported seeing and interacting with various apparitions. In the 1940s, there was an airplane crash that resulted in the deaths of several children. Their bodies were processed in this building when it was a mortuary. Some believe their harmless and benevolent spirits still roam the building. Don told us he has prepared an extensive history of this building. We will share this document when we receive it here.
Roads Less Traveled (tentative name - there is another show and a few other companies that already use this name) will attempt to differentiate itself from other paranormal investigative shows by utilizing the elements of successful existing television shows, plus a twist of craziness using humor and very animated over-reactions, which will make ours more interesting and hopefully attract a larger viewership. Network distribution is a longshot, but you'll never know if you never try.
Our core principles for this and future investigations shall be:
- A short but well-defined pre-recorded on-site introduction featuring the real history of the building and reason for the investigation (Elizabeth, Karen, Don?)
- A serious technical investigation using the latest paranormal tools (Steve)
- The legitimacy offered by the summary delivered by an experienced and objective news reporter (Josh)
- Respectful yet fun antics during the actual investigation using the primary hosts of the show
Roles and Responsibilities
This show will be different from the prior investigation. We'll have more cameras, better sound, and more advanced tools. We'll pause during the investigation to ensure we have the best lighting and sound, which is required when attempting to solicit network distribution.
These are the roles I see people playing during this event. Feel free to comment if you have suggestions or something else to add that'll make this show even better. Our goal is to get everyone on camera for some time sharing their thoughts and expertise. Credits will be added to your IMDB profile if one exists.
If there are any scheduling conflicts or staff changes, or if you've changed your mind for any reason, please let us know here or on the Facebook chat ASAP so we can adjust accordingly. Thank you all!
